Childrens Ministry

at Calvary Chapel of Lancaster

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Our desire is to provide a quality, age-appropriate study for all of the children who attend. Our teachers spend time in study and prayer before your child enters the classroom, and use an age-appropriate Bible curriculum designed to develop a foundational knowledge of the scriptures, and to grow your child’s relationship with the Lord. During Sunday church service, we provide a nursery, and classrooms for all ages 2 years old up to 5th grade.

Sunday Mornings

10:30am

Teaching is a great responsibility. Many like the feeling of being the one in charge. FDR once said, “with great power comes great responsibility." James however puts it this way:
“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness" (James 3:1).

Teachers are needed in the body. Paul said to the Romans
“How then will they call on Him whom they have not believe? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” One must take careful stock of him or herself before committing to such a task.

6-12 Year Old

At Calvary Chapel, we desire you to grow and teach others to do the same. However, we want you to do so with all diligence and care to adhere to God’s Word as it is given, without partiality, personal interpretation, or personal agenda.

If you feel God’s calling to help feed the flock, and have studied to show thyself approved, then please fill out the form below and send back to us. We do have a one year minimum requirement of sitting under Pastor Michael's teachings before one can become a teacher. Here are our Sunday school classes.

The most challenging and quite possibly the most rewarding class to teach. At this age, minds are hungry and like sponges. As the world fills youthful minds with public education, let us take the opportunities we get but once a week to fill them with all Godliness.
